Anna Marie Valerio has written a book for today's CEOs, managers, and all women aspiring to higher levels of leadership. She offers a multitude of ideas for helping further women's development in leading their organizations. What I especially like, given my own academic background, is that her work is grounded in research. Valerio conducted numerous interviews with men and women on best practices and current thinking in addition to examining the scientific research to determine what works and what does not. Using these sources, she has extracted important and helpful information, translating it into an easy to read and helpful resource. Valerio sprinkles useful tips for development as well as questions for reflection throughout the book. These tips provide easy to access, bite sized nuggets of information for overworked, time limited readers. I recommend this resource highly.
